The Greene County Schools board of education expects to decide the fate of the 1921 school building, the former middle school, at its regular meeting Wednesday, Oct. 21.
A public hearing will be held at 6:30 pm as required by Iowa Code. The following Notice of Public hearing was posted in the district’s official newspapers:
“Notice is hereby given that the Board of Directors of the Greene County Community School District with offices located at 204 W. Madison, Jefferson, IA will hold a public hearing on the disposal of the real estate located at 203 W. Harrison, the former Middle School building/gym/parking lot properties The hearing will take place on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at 6:30 pm CST in the Administrative Building Conference Room at 204 W. Madison, Jefferson IA 50129. At that time any interested person may appear and file objections to the proposed disposal of the property. ss/ Brenda Muir, board secretary”
The public can also file written comments at the school district office prior to the public hearing.
